Bellingham Marine Scholarship

The Marina Industries Association of Australia (MIAA) is pleased to announce an annual scholarship. This scholarship recognises the importance of education within our marina industry. It has been established by the MIAA with the aim of rewarding the successful candidate who has the competence and skills that are so highly valued in the marina industry.

Applications due 4th July 2008

The scholarship shall be for fully paid attendance at the next available Intermediate Management Course in Australia .

  • All candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Demonstrate a commitment & service to the industry through a minimum of 5 years of marina industry participation.
  • At least 3 of the 5 years will have been in a management role
  • Must be a current financial member of the MIAA either directly, or as an employee of an MIAA member
  • Commitment to personal education, training and accreditation
  • Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and industry representation

 

To apply for the opportunity of being awarded through the MIAA Scholarship Fund applications need to be in writing to the Board of Management of the MIAA.

The application will need to include:

  • Candidate Background
  • Statement of Marina industry experience
  • A statement describing future plans for service in the industry
  • List all relevant qualifications and certificates
  • Provide professional & personal referees
